Definitions
- The kilogram is the SI base unit of mass, defined since 2019 by fixing the Planck constant rather than by a metal cylinder in Paris.
- The short ton is 2000 pounds, used in the US. It is 9% lighter than the UK long ton and 9% lighter than the metric tonne.
