Definitions
- The millilitre is exactly one cubic centimetre. Medicine doses and recipe liquids are measured in it worldwide.
- The US cup is 8 US fluid ounces, 236.588 mL. A metric cup is 250 mL and a pre-decimal UK cup was 284 mL, so a recipe's origin matters.
