- The bar is exactly 100 000 Pa, near enough to atmospheric pressure at sea level to be a convenient working unit.
- The kilopascal is 1000 pascals. Tyre placards in metric countries are usually printed in kPa or bar.
- This conversion is exact by definition. 1 bar = 100 kPa.
- Pressure is converted through Pa.
How it works
One direction multiplies and the other divides by the same number, so nothing is lost by going back and forth.
